Ever want to give up on your big goals when stuff gets hard? Do you also know there are things you have to give up on, in order to keep your sanity? I feel you in both scenarios and today’s episode is all about the dueling emotions of giving up when times are tough AND knowing when to give up when stuff isn’t aligned anymore. I also share what my Ironman journey taught me about giving up!
Key takeaways from my message:
- Pain is temporary. Crossing the finish line on your biggest goal is a victory you can talk about forever.
- You are the by-product of the people you surround yourself with the most.
- You can do hard things if you keep showing up to train for these opportunities.
- Hang around with people who will tell you you can do it and who will celebrate your success (be that for your circle, as well).
- Give yourself permission to cut things that no longer serve you.
- The hardest things in life are a lot easier to go through when you surround yourself with people who believe in you.
- Hit a wall in any aspect of your life and business goals? Try another way!
- Life is too short to let your current circumstances stop you from pursuing your boldest dreams
Special thanks to the Heart & Sole Triathlon Team (especially Coach Ken and Coach Melissa), Ironman Maryland, my husband, Ed, all my IMMD teammates and Sherpas, those who wrote me an encouraging note via social media or to read on the course.
